Formal Teacher Training for Clinicians

Clinicians Who Teach is a structured teacher-training programme designed for doctors and healthcare professionals who teach as part of their clinical roles and seek high-quality, formally recognised evidence of their educational development.

This option provides access to a comprehensive, self-paced e-learning programme, equivalent to one full day of teaching training.

Note: Delegates are strongly encouraged to enrol in the full two-day course, which includes a live workshop, in order to maximise learning outcomes.

  • Foundation and Core trainees applying for specialties such as IMT, Ophthalmology, ENT, and similar pathways requiring evidence of formal teacher training.
  • SAS, Trust-grade, and early-career clinicians developing teaching portfolios or taking on supervisory roles.
  • Healthcare professionals seeking structured, CPD-aligned evidence of teaching development for appraisal or revalidation.

No formal teaching qualification is required. The course is designed to be practical, accessible, and directly applicable to everyday clinical teaching.
